Best Classic Danish Butter Cookies
Leslie Cooks
My recipe for Danish Butter Cookies are melt in your mouth, crispy, and packed with butter flavor. These cookies use a few ingredients to create something great. This is must at my house during the holidays. This recipe tastes very similar to the tinned cookies many people know and love.

Preheat oven to 350℉.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
To a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the salt, vanilla, and egg. Beat until combined.
Add flour. Beat by hand until a thick dough forms. Add dough to pastry bag and pipe into desired shapes.
Sprinkle with decorative sugar.
Bake on 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
If your kitchen is very warm, chill piped cookies in refrigerator before baking. This will prevent extra spreading during baking process.
